And the pop world breathes a collective sigh of relief… Swedish superstar Robyn has confirmed the release of her new album ‘Honey’.
Eight long years after the ‘Body Talk’ trilogy, we’re about to get our first Robyn long player.
Robyn announced the name and release date for the new record on her YouTube channel in the early hours of this morning Australian time.
She’s worked with some of the best in the business on ‘Honey’, including Klas Åhlund, Mr Tophat, Adam Bainbridge and Metronomy’s Joseph Mount.
As to what we should expect from the new long player?
Robyn says ‘Honey’ will be, “this sweet place, like a soft ecstasy. Something that’s so sensual, and so good. I danced a lot when I was making it. I found a sensuality and a softness that I don’t think I was able to use in the same way before. Everything just became softer.”
‘Honey’ promises a little pot of pop purity. It’s out October 26.
