So Pop! It’s a brand new tour event from the team at Frontier Touring that aims to take you back to pop’s heady days.
And if you’ve been aching for a bit of ’90s realness in your pop, you’re going to love this series of concerts.
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide will all get the chance to see some of the biggest pop acts of yesterday performing all the hits that made them famous.
Danish supergroup Aqua heads the 2019 line-up for 2019. Tracks like ‘Turn Back Time’, ‘Doctor Jones’ and ‘Barbie Girl’ were all pop classics.
The Vengaboys will be back in town, rolling out their hits like ‘We’re Going To Ibiza’, ‘Boom Boom Boom Boom!’ and ‘We Like To Party’.
Joining them is UK boyband Blue, who hit the charts in Australia with tracks like ‘If You Come Back’, ‘Too Close’ and their breakout smash ‘All Rise’.
The ladies from B*Witched are also on the way, ready to play their classics ‘Blame It On The Weatherman’, ‘Rollercoaster’ and the inimitable ‘C’Est La Vie’.
But there’s also Eiffel 65 (who hit the big time with ‘Blue (Da Ba Dee)’), Lou Bega (surely you remember ‘Mambo No.5’?), The Outhere Brothers (‘Boom Boom Boom’ and ‘Don’t Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)’), 2 Unilimited (‘Get Ready’, ‘No Limit’) and Mr President (‘Coco Jamboo’).
The tour is set to kick off at Perth’s Kings Park and Botanic Gardens on Wednesday January 30 before heading to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally Brisbane.
Frontier members get first access to tickets via a pre-sale, kicking off at 11am AEDT this Thursday.
