His previous single ‘Healing Hands’ is still haunting the ARIA top 40, but now Conrad Sewell drops the video for his latest track ‘Changing’.
The latest release from the Brisbane native dropped at digital retailers at the start of September.
Six and a half weeks on, we now have its official music video.
“‘Changing’ is a super vulnerable and emotional record for me,” Conrad reveals. “I wrote it right when I was deep in a relationship and realised that I was ruining it. My actions and my addictions were starting to affect her. I would come home and see her crying… she was always upset. She wasn’t the same person that she was when we first started dating and I felt like it was because of me and the way that I was acting.
“So this is really me apologising for everything I’ve done and telling her to never change for anyone – you’re perfect the way you are. Especially don’t change for me, because I wasn’t worth it at the time.”
Given the personal and emotional nature of the song and its lyrical content, the video follows suit. We follow Conrad during the writing and recording process; these scenes intercut with footage of a street artist creating a poignant mural, all of which is revealed at the very end.
Loving the build on this track.
