New music from former ‘X Factor’ winner Isaiah Firebrace has been a long time coming, but ‘Close To Me’ is finally here.
It’s the singer’s first release in 2018 and also his first since ‘Streets Of Gold’ in the middle of last year.
In a statement released by his label Sony today, Isaiah explains the delay.
“Over the past year I’ve taken the time to work with many producers and writers to get my sound right, and ‘Close To Me’ is a true representation of where I’m at musically,” he reveals.
“The song is about knowing when you’ve done the wrong thing and being able to recognise that and put things right, but it’s also about hope and knowing that things are better when you are with the right person. I think most people can relate to that.
“I’m just so happy to share this song with my fans and I hope they love it as much as I do!”
The song was penned by the boys from AFTRHRS, along with James Newman and John Ryan.
