Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll know that the Little Mix ladies are back – and they’ve just dropped their ‘Woman Like Me’ video.
Featuring Nicki Minaj in a little guest spot, ‘Woman Like Me’ is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming fifth studio album, inventively titled ‘LM5’.
It’s due to land at retailers across the planet in the middle of November.
But how much of a lead-in punch will ‘Woman Like Me’ deliver?
According to their label Sony, this is the track that signals their transition from girlhood to womanhood.
From the frothy pop of yesteryear to the grown-up pop they’re now aiming for.
It’s a decent enough pop song (we could probably have done with a little less Nicki for our money), but the video locations, wardrobe and styling are all top notch; it’s had some serious coin thrown in its direction.
The girls ladies are in a unique position now. What with the demise of The Saturdays, Fifth Harmony and our beloved Girls Aloud, they’ve pretty much got the (young) girlband sphere to themselves.
