We’re kicking off your Tuesday morning with another music video premiere; that for Cap Carter’s debut single ‘Thrill’.
The emotional new piece was released right at the end of last month.
It documents what’s was a difficult year for the Sydney performer; the break up of his band, the loss of a friend and a battle with mental health issues.
“I was by myself for a long time that year,” he explains. “Locked myself up internally and tried to figure out what the hell was going on with life. I was angry, frustrated and tired about going nowhere as a musician and as a person.
“So I did what anyone else would do, I wrote. Lost count of the bottles and I screamed every word ’til I felt like my soul was healing. That is what my music is – a soul cleanse. A plea for some sort of tourniquet to stop the bleeding.”
Each and every one of those emotions have gone into creating ‘Thrill’ and, in its official music video below (which we’re premiering this morning) you can feel each and every one of those emotions seeping through his skin.
So without further ado… please enjoy the auspOp premiere of Cap Carter’s ‘Thrill’.
