We’re thrilled to be partnering with Nick De La Hoyde this afternoon to premiere the video for his latest single ‘California’.
Nick’s been a regular on the pages of auspOp for the past few years and we’ve seen him flourishing with each passing year and with each and every release.
He continues to enjoy a phenomenal following on his social media handles; his fan numbers on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM accounts alone total more than 560,000.
Nick holds nothing back lyrically, pouring his every emotion into his music.
And his latest single ‘California’ is no exception.
It’s penned as an ode to the picturesque American state that most often for us Aussies serves as a stunning, sun-kissed gateway to the United States.
“There are some places in life you get the chance to see and visit and immediately fall in love with, you feel an attachment, that for me, feels a bit like being lost in a beautiful dream,” Nick explains.
“Within its beauty, it has its demons, but the demons are sometimes what also makes it beautiful. LA/California is that place for me and that is what inspired me to write the song.”
As for the music video, expect plenty of sights that anyone who’s been to Los Angeles might find familiar… the palm trees of Santa Monica and Venice Beach, the Hollywood Hills, the Walk Of Fame and some of the famous skyscrapers that dot the LA skyline.
‘California’ is available digitally now, but keep your eyes peeled for a new Nick De La Hoyde EP, which is currently due to land at DSPs early in the new year.
In the meantime, please enjoy the auspOp premiere of Nick De La Hoyde’s ‘California’!
