Katy Perry dropped her first solo single in two long years on Friday in the form of ‘Never Really Over’.
Penned alongside Zedd and our own Hayley Warner and Leah Haywood (among others), the track is all about relationships. And naturally, it’s a subject matter that’s pretty universal.
“All of our relationships – from first love, through failed love, to great love – all become a part of you, so that none are ever really over,” Katie explains. “And once you accept both the dark and the light, you may find that the darkness brought you to the light.”
We suspect commercial radio is going to lap this one up (we’ve already started hearing it).
