Aussie pop darling Jessica Mauboy has confirmed that she’ll release her new album ‘Hilda’ in October.
The news comes this morning as her new single ‘Little Things’ makes its way to Australian media – and to digital music providers across the planet.
The new single joins its predecessor ‘Sunday’ among the 14 tracks on the new album, which is the long-awaited follow-up to her 2013 studio album ‘Beautiful’.
‘Little Things’ was co-penned by Jess alongside the DNA boys in Sydney and Chiara Hunter.
Of it, she says, “This song is EVERYTHING we want to TELL our loved ones… to remind them that ALL we want is to be loved and appreciated in ALL of the things we do.
“This song could also be felt in a way that you could be an eight year old girl or boy and want to feel loved by your parents, trying to catch their attention when your parents aren’t watching, to a 20 year old sharing their deepest experience and not getting that back in return from the one they love, (or) to a 50 year old who could has lost their loved one and is haunted by memories of what was unsaid.”
The album ‘Hilda’, meantime (cover art pictured above), will land on Friday October 18.
(Hilda is Jess’s middle name).
