Sydney’s Alfie Arcuri continues to impress with each new single release… and his latest, ‘Same’, is no different.
Naturally, most people know him from his win in the 2016 edition of ‘The Voice’ and subsequent signing to Universal Music off the back of the show.
He also participated in ‘Eurovision 2019 : Australia Decides’ earlier this year with his soaring ballad ‘To Myself’.
Now in collaboration with Neon Records, Alfie’s upped the tempo on his latest tune, but it’s a track that still oozes with the soulful vocal we’ve come to know (and love) him for.
“I wanted to write something that had a soulful pop vibe but also had a bit of a dark edge to it,” he reveals.
“‘Same’ is inspired by my own experiences with love, specifically my first real relationship falling apart, and how I almost immediately attempted to and unsuccessfully replace my ex-boyfriend with a similar variation of him.”
Yeah, you don’t want that.
We’re promised an EP later in the year. Watch this space.
In the meantime, however, watch this clip;
