Say ‘hello’ to ‘Halo’, the very special debut single from Melbourne singer songwriter Melissa Ramsay.
Though her first ever track arrived at digital retailers across the planet on Friday, Melissa is certainly no newcomer to the music scene.
In the past she’s worked with the likes of Feenixpawl and even performed vocals on the Just A Gent track ‘Loaded’.
But here, with her very own single, she sparkles.
“‘Halo’ is about entering your mid-twenties and reflecting on your wrong doings, bad decisions and striving to be a better person,” Melissa explains.
“It’s about feeling like you’re the worst person on earth and trying to convince yourself that you’re actually not; you’re just human like everyone else.”
Melissa’s intensely pretty vocals alone on ‘Halo’ are worth the price of entry. Add in the whomping pop production and a universal message about self-acceptance, however, and you’ve got a glimmering homegrown pop gem.
