Sydney performer Nick De La Hoyde has become a regular on the pages of auspOp across the past four years. Today he drops his latest single ‘Ghost’.
It’s a danceable, yet wistful track about taking chances, making the most of the one life we’ve got and, at the end, hoping that we’ve accomplished everything we could have wished for.
“I guess you could say ‘Ghost’ is an upbeat song that has a nostalgic feel to it,” Nick explains. “Reminiscing on childhood days and the thoughts of growing older and slowly fading away.”
Production-wise, Nick ups the tempo here; his satiny vocals sitting atop a driving bassline that would sound as at home on the radio as it would in the clubs. It’s incredibly catchy; incredibly commercial.
“I collaborated on this song with my brother ZU/ZU who produced the track and many others on my album.”
Speaking of the album, there’s no mention yet of when we should expect that, but cross fingers for more information later in the year.
In the meantime, take a listen to Nick’s new single ‘Ghost’ below.
