Sydney’s own Jakob (Delgado) has dropped ‘Lie’, the first single from his forthcoming self-titled debut EP.
Released on Friday, the track is quite personal, lyrically dealing with a situation of unrequited love.
“The song ‘Lie’ is written about a scenario I was in, where a person I cared for was in a toxic relationship with someone else,” Jakob explains.
“She would constantly ask me for advice, when in reality I wanted to say that she should be with me instead of telling her something she wants to hear. I hope you all enjoy what I believe is my best song yet!”
‘Lie’ (music video below) is one of five new songs featured on Jakob’s upcoming debut EP, which is set to include “soaring pop”, “Latin flare” and “smooth grooves” and more relatable lyrics about relationships and love.
Look for it landing at your favourite retailer from Friday November 15.
