Casey Donovan and Vanessa Amorosi have been confirmed as the first two participants in Eurovision : Australia Decides 2020.
The competition, to determine who’ll represent Australia at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, will return to the Gold Coast on February 07 and 08.
Casey Donovan first rose to national prominence as the winner of the ‘Australian Idol’ competition back in 2004.
Since then, she’s gone on to release a series of singles, as well as a No.2 album and in more recent years has been treading the boards in stage shows across the country.
Vanessa Amorosi too needs no introduction. Since bursting onto the scene with her powerful debut single ‘Have A Look’ 20 years ago, she’s experienced global success with ‘Absolutely Everybody’ and ‘Shine’ and even hit No.1 with her track ‘This Is Who I Am’, which dropped ten years after her debut.
Amazingly, today’s announcement co-incides with the release of Vanessa’s new album ‘Back To Love’, her first long player in a decade.
More artist announcements for Eurovision : Australia Decides will be released in the coming months.
