US pop superstar Miley Cyrus has been confirmed as the headline act for a bushfire relief concert to be held in Melbourne next month.
The World Tour Bushfire Relief concert will take place at the Victorian capital’s Lakeside Stadium on Friday March 13, which is slap bang in the middle of the Australian Grand Prix weekend.
Lil Nas X, who recently topped the charts with his international megahit ‘Old Town Road’ (ironically featuring the vocals of Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus), will also play his hits.
As will superstar Australian duo The Veronicas, plus Seb Fontaine.
All proceeds from the sale of tickets will go towards not-for-profit charities here in Australia, with a focus on restoring forests, supporting wildlife and rebuilding communities impacted by this summer’s catastrophic fires.
Tickets for the one-off event are on sale from 2pm AEDT tomorrow, Tuesday February 25.
