Dancefloor dynamos Bombs Away have teamed up with US outfit RIP Youth and our own Reigan Derry on their new single ‘You Love’.
It’s a song about pausing, reflecting and being thankful for everything we have; an especially important message for a world currently dealing with an unprecedented global health crisis.
But originally, Bombs Away weren’t even involved with the ‘You Love’ project, as Reigan explains.
“RIP Youth and I had spent some fun nights exchanging ideas and talking for hours about stream of consciousness and heart connections.
“Once the lyrics for ‘You Love’ began to swirl, we realised we were tapping into something beautiful. It felt genuine. We spoke about living in the now, feeling the preciousness of time. Being grateful and abundant, no matter the situation.
“The Bombs Away boys responded quickly to the melody and they insisted on being a part of the project. It was their collaboration that really brought this to life. Very happy with where it’s all sitting now, and really feel like it’s a message the world needs to be reminded of.”
It’s a seriously impressive track, combining the message of positivity with a pulsing bassline and an array of electronic trickery.
‘You Love’ is out today.
