Melbourne’s Max Lawrence is ready to light up your weekend playlist, thanks to his sparkling new single ‘Gasoline’.
Produced by Rino Darusman, the new track questions society’s rules of constantly needing more; money, possessions, material things.
“There are so many distractions in our lives that keep us from questioning the systems that govern us, and I think right now with everyone in isolation and separated from our grind, we’re beginning to re-consider if those systems work for us,” he explains.
“‘Gasoline’ is basically me questioning what keeps me going inside a world built on capital gain and acquisition of goods. Do I want lots of stuff? I don’t know. I just want to create as much art as I can and give love to as many people as I can, I don’t need a slick sports-car, my beat up Corolla is fine.”
Press play below and let ‘Gasoline’ help power you through the journey that is 2020.
