No, Sydney singers ANGE and Chelsea Warner haven’t had a falling out; their new single ‘Dead To Each Other’ is proof of that.
Because only a close working relationship could produce a piece of soul/pop that’s so smooth and so alluring.
The sounds of the rain falling in the opening bars of the song, which give way to lush production elements elicits feelings of escaping the winter streets and ensconcing yourself in a cozy settee in the corner of a stylish, dimly-lit bar.
ANGE is originally from Barcelona, but now calls Sydney home. And for ‘Dead To Each Other’, her talents have paired perfectly with those of Sydney’s Chelsea Warner to create something rather special.
“Writing this song with Chelsea felt so easy,” ANGE explains. “We complemented each other very well, adding to each other’s ideas with such ease. Chelsea is an angel and it was such a pleasure to write this together.”
As its title suggests, the song is about breaking free and making a new start.
“It represents that drastic change that has to happen and the conscious decision of setting boundaries to move on,” the pair explain. “From the first verse to the last chorus there is a big evolution in the story. From doubt to accepting the situation and having the strength to let go.”
The coming together of ANGE and Chelsea has resulted in a luscious piece of home-grown pop which oozes with soul and class.
