The power of Perth pop is on full display with ‘Grid’, the new single from WA natives WasteLand and Sydnee Carter.
We were introduced to this super classy three and a bit minute gem a couple of weeks ago, but it finally makes its way into the world today. And it’s a banger.
It’s the second collaboration between the pair, following on from WasteLand’s previous single ‘Haulin’.
And this one’s all about the desire to escape the craziness of this new Covid world.
“@hen we wrote ‘Grid’, it was during the peak of COVID and we all had major life plans that had to be pushed aside for the time being,” Sydnee explains.
“‘Grid’ talks about literally just wanting to run away with someone and let them take you off the grid to escape from everything going on in life! There’s always excuses and reasons why you can’t just up and run away, and ‘Grid’ is the story we wish we could tell!”
We can also imagine ‘Grid’ being the perfect track to wind the windows in the car down and boogie on down to on your way there.
