Sydney singer songwriter Johnny Manuel is back, ready to set dancefloor alight with his new pop gem ‘Lost In The Music’.
You may remember the affable performer from his crazy blind audition on last year’s edition of ‘The Voice’, during which he turned all four chairs with a rendition of Diana Ross’s ‘Home’.
He was robbed twice on that show; firstly he didn’t win the whole damned thing. But secondly, as ‘The Voice’ and all the other “reality” singing TV shows tend to do, he didn’t get full credit for his spine-tingling performance because the judges made it all about themselves. Television, huh?
Putting all of that behind him, he’s teamed up with David Ryan Harris and Michael Fatkin for his fresh new original, ‘Lost In The Music’.
“‘Lost In The Music’ is really about finding your way back to love and having fun while you do it,” Johnny reveals. “When we were creating this song, we started talking about how complicated relationships can become but if you learn to let go you find out that it can be simple.”
Wonderfully, we’re treated to some of that incredible vocal power and precision in amongst the glossy pop production.
You’ll be able to get lost in the music with Johnny himself at two special shows, due to take place in Sydney and Melbourne in June.
June 18 : Sydney (Oxford Art Factory)
June 25 : Melbourne (The Toff In Town)
