We’re rather enamoured with ‘Do Me A Favour’, the latest single from Sydney-based singer songwriter KEEKS.
In between writing tracks for a number of acts in both the J-Pop and K-Pop worlds, KEEKS has found time to craft music for herself, co-penning this latest single with Tim Tan.
“Being a songwriter and releasing my own music was always the goal for me,” she reveals. “I’m definitely manifesting 2022 to be the year of more releases, shows, travel and songwriting with friends.”
‘Do Me A Favour’ is an ode to the realisation that not everything you were dreaming of alongside your special someone is right.
“It’s is inspired by every emotional romantic faced with the reality of a less-than-perfect relationship,” KEEKS reveals. “(It’s) an anthem perfect for life’s defining moments, self-discos or crying into a pillow.”
It’s also ever so cute, with bright and bubbly pop production to ensure commercial radio could soak it all up.
If so they chose. Which they won’t. Because Australian commercial radio (on the whole) doesn’t support Australian music.
Take your ears here instead, then!
