Today is the perfect day for First Nations performer Tilly Tjala Thomas to drop her cool new dance/pop track ‘Mansion’.
Its release is ideally timed to coincide with the start of National Reconciliation Week; an important annual event that encourages all Australians to work together towards a better future for our First Nations communities.
The track itself, meantime, lyrically deals with something a little different.
“It’s about appreciating the simple things in life and rejecting the traps and lures of a consumerist and materialistic society,” Tilly explains.
“Writing these lyrics, I felt empowered, reminded that I have the power to say no. We all do.”
The music video (below) sees Tilly at the alter, ready to embrace all that married life has to offer.
